I started doing cartoons in 1985 for the Trail Gazette and continued till 1987 when we left Estes and moved to Phoenix. Below are some samples from those early days.
This is the very first cartoon I did for the Estes Park Trail Gazette. It was about the strict development code that Estes had at the time. The Stanley Hotel was listed as a Historical Site so the idea that you would have to go to the Planning Commissioners to get them to approve planting flowers wasn't to far off.
Elk are everywhere in Estes Park. The problem is that their not there when you need them. I thought this would be a great business that realtors and locals could use to make sure that big bull elk was there when you needed him.
I also did cartoons for a local Estes Park resident that worked with Church choirs around the US.
